The easiest way to get involved is to participate in the local events that the GICDT sponsors on Grand Isle. You can also subscribe to the Island Beacon to get all the information about what is happening on the island.  

The Beacon isn't being published now. We hope to have it back in circulation soon.

Do you have a project or event that you would like to see on Grand Isle?  Let us know how we can help you make it happen.  We work with may Community Groups and individuals to host events that support Grand Isle, Louisiana.

Volunteers are welcome at anytime.  Email us with the times that you are available and/or the projects that interest you.  Your participation is always welcome and greatly appreciated.

Become a Member of GICDT

Individual Members

Join the Grand Isle Community Development Team! There is no cost for individual membership, only a committment of your time and talents to help organize and participate in community events and projects. Individual members are required to attend at least two meetings a year and participate in two committees to help organize events and/or projects. Individual membership is by invitation. Individual members have voting rights at our annual and regular meetings.

Corporate Members

Corporate/Business membership is $500 per year. This entitles your business to have your logo on our website and on the sponsor board at the rodeo each year. We gladly accept and promotional products for your business that you would like to be handed out at any of our events. Corporate members are welcome to attend our annual and regular meetings, but do not have voting rights.

Honorary Members

Do you just want to stay informed about what is happeing on Grand Isle and participate or vounteer once in a while? Become an honorary member of the GICDT. You will receive periodic email updates about GICDT and upcoming events. Honorary members are invited to attend all regular meetings of the members, but are not required to attend meetings and do not have voting rights. There is no cost to be an Honorary member, only your time and talents to help support community events and projects.
